Abstract
In 1992, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Northern Arizona University has collaborated to develop the American Indian Air Quality Training Program (AIAQTP). The goal was to build the capacity of tribes to manage their own air quality programs. At the 1996 meeting of AWMA, the history, approach, and success of the AIAQTP were presented. This article presents an updated information, particularly concerning the on-going development and delivery of air quality training workshops.
