The reviewers don’t like my sample! What can I do?

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

This chapter looks at what authors can do if reviewers determine that there is an issue with their sample, which can either be a “fatal flaw” that triggers a rejection or enough of a problem to render an entire Results and Discussion section moot. Authors can be either preventive or reactive in their response to this dilemma. The chapter outlines how authors can respond, with a checklist for sample design preparation. It also explores the characteristics of a good sample.
