Abstract
The stability and onset of convection in a narrow, fluid saturated porous layer subject to a centrifugal body force due to rotation is investigated analytically. The marginal stability criterion is established in terms of a critical centrifugal Rayleigh number and a critical wave number. As a result, the corresponding eigenfunctions are evaluated at the convection threshold.
