Abstract

We use a new class of optomechanical waveguides to we create strong stimulated Brillouin scattering in silicon waveguides. Harnessing these interactions, we create Brillouinbased narrow-band RF-photonic filters, optical amplifiers, and lasers in silicon photonics.
