Quantitative analysis of living cells by digital holographic microscopy

Abstract

Digital holography is applied to obtain noninvasive quantitative phase measurements from living cells. The complex wavefront can be recorded in just a single digital image allowing for critical real-time imaging. The vertical resolution of measurements is determined to be around 3 nanometers.
