Abstract
Using data from the National Longitudinal Survey of Mature Men, the current study estimated the probability of participation in a retirement preparation program. Results are presented from a multivariate logit analysis. The study found (a) that occupational status, marital status, health status, preretirement income, and constraint by mandatory retirement rules are significant predictors of participation, and (b) that positive sample selectivity bias exists.
