Abstract
The disruptive innovation theory by Clayton Christensen states that disruptive innovations, which are often simpler and more affordable than existing products or services, can fundamentally change the dynamics of an industry by appealing to new or overlooked market segments. Therefore, the answer for future health care will come from disruptive innovations (Christiansen, 2007). This paper provides some community-based creative solutions bridging Hospitality to Healthcare (H2H) - putting the “heart back in healthcare” to improve the health and well-being of the community. Another benefit could enhance Medical Tourism and Medical Travel Opportunities for Hotels and Resorts to expand lodging revenues and develop a competitive advantage in the Lodging marketplace.
