Abstract
Studies of innovation suggest that understanding the complex set of variables associated with innovation can help higher education professionals plan and achieve organizational reforms more effectively. The purpose of the research reported here was to explore innovation in a non-traditional academic unit, the intensive English program (IEP), on several university campuses. The focus of the study was IEP administrators and their perceptions of factors that facilitate innovation in their units.
