Abstract

Chapter 29 explores the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in digital health education, focusing on innovative teaching methods such as interactive multimedia and simulations. It highlights the role of high-fidelity simulation and Virtual Reality (VR) in hands-on learning, as well as the benefits of AI-powered tutoring systems in personalized education. The chapter discusses the use of chatbots for real-time student support. While underscoring the advantages of AI/ML, such as improved engagement and assessment accuracy, it also addresses ethical and practical challenges such as data privacy and reliability. Overall, the chapter serves as a guide for responsibly integrating AI/ML into educational settings.
