Heuristic treatment of the Anderson model for dilute magnetic alloys

Abstract

A simple heuristic treatment of the Anderson model for dilute magnetic alloys is described which yields reasonable results for the one-electron properties of the model throughout the entire range of model parameters from weakly to strongly magnetic and for all temperatures of interest.
