Electron beam damage in high Tc superconductor materials

Abstract

The standard theory of radiation damage by electrons is applied to Y-Ba-Cu-O high Tc superconductors. It is shown that the electron irradiation at incident energy (E) ≤ 450 keV can produce a large number of oxygen vacancies in the material.
