Abstract

A 915 MHz receiver subsystem is characterized and simulated using a versatile test bench and CAE/CAD environments. The subsystem, which down-converts to a 70 MHz intermediate frequency, is constructed with coaxial components and characterized at several different levels. The 3 GHz test bench includes a vector network analyzer, a spectrum analyzer and a synthesized signal source.
