Abstract

The peer evaluation process for assessing individual performance within a team was discussed. It was suggested that a peer evaluation system can be used to help determine each individual's share of the group grade based on estimations of each individual's contributions to the group product. Some of the sources of distortion of evolution values which the instructor must be sensitive to and make adjustments for, include reallocation of evaluation points, difficulty in assessing and qualifying individual contributions and not knowing some students. The peer evaluation system were suggeted to be designed with the objective of minimizing the effects of various ypes of biases and procss deficiencies.
