Abstract

Discussion about,Africa's role in world politics has taken on a negative perspective in recent years as the continent's impact has been more in terms of famine, drought, .debts and coups, rather than in any positive influence on world events. Although this perspective is often exaggerated, it does reflect a change in fortunes for the majority of African states as well as a failure to utilise the potential of the continent.
