Abstract
The Thevenin equivalent circuits, voltage (current) gain and equivalent input (output) resistance play a very important role in electrical and electronic circuit analysis such as impedance matching effect and frequency responses of famous filters. This study has proposed a simple and unified algorithm for the determinations of the Thevenin equivalent circuit and four amplifier performance indexes, in which all desired parameters can be easily obtained "simultaneously" only based on the fundamental addition and subtraction operations and it is not required to turn off all independent sources. Moreover, some special circuits containing dependent sources and coupling elements, such as the complicated differential amplifier with active load, are difficultly solved for some traditional approaches, while it is "straightforward" based on our study. The proposed approach will not produce the interminate form 0/0 which is involved in some traditional ones.
