Abstract

An algorithm for implementing a novel fuzzylogic controller is developed for a theoretical model of an artificial heart. The human heart is a complex organism. An artificial heart tries to simulate the workings of a natural heart, by implementing a complex control system to adapt to the changing physiological parameters. An artificial heart needs to take the biological considerations of the human body in order to have comparable performance. In this paper, the controller is designed with information from the electrical system of the natural heart, making it adaptive to physiological changes.
